My name is Jessica Tokay and I reside in the south hills with my family. My husband is my rock. My light. I have three amazingly kind and caring stepdaughters that motivate and inspire me. Our fur kid rescue, Oakley, is the sweetest and most soulful bully breed you will ever meet.
My grind is in financial services, specifically lending for the past 17 years along with project management and software implementation. My retreat is the outdoors. I am at peace when I am in the woods among the trees and love traveling and exploring new places to hike.
In 2019, at the age of 41 and just 9 months after my husband and I married, I was diagnosed with stage 2 hormone receptor positive breast cancer. The cancer spread to 6 of 17 lymph nodes, of which all were removed. I underwent a double mastectomy, 6 months of chemo and 28 rounds of radiation. I still get choked up when I talk about it. I met Sam during treatment through a fellow thriver and was overwhelmed by the warm welcome of love and acceptance of 412Thrive. Their mission to help all, no matter what stage or age, before, during, or after treatment was, and still is a saving grace. I am truly blessed with the support of my family and my 412Thrive tribe.
