Our Story
412Thrive was formed shortly after founder Samantha Moatz hosted a wine night at her house for 11 local breast cancer Thrivers. Bonds formed quickly that night and Sam realized she was not the only one who needed the support of others who understood what they had been through. The idea of a nonprofit that focused on not just breast cancer treatment but also survivorship and beyond was born. The name came organically in a conversation with Cara Snyder a few months later and 412Thrive applied as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in September 2020.
Over the years, 412Thrive has hosted a number of in person and virtual events. We have grown from 11 Thrivers to over 600. We provide dinners, emergency funding, personalized care packages, Wellness Retreat, and support groups. The most important thing we provide is a community of support for Thrivers of all ages and all stages.
