Public Meeting
In attendance: Board members -Barb Hickey, Christine Fueller, Lisa Davidson, Rachael Rennebeck, Bev Cwalina and Thriver members: Katie Dudos Nathalie, Jamie Ross, Carrie Mattola, Christylynn Crupie; Viki Mahler and guest: Bob Randolph (Dragon Boat Race),
Jennifer Hisdorf - absent
Meeting started at 7:35 pm
Approval of minutes- motion made by Rachael and second by Chrstine, minutes approved
Agenda
Rachael: big focus is the retreat and the big event. I have two vendors confirmed and a few emails out for other activities. Hopeful that there is more to contribute to the 6/22 event.
Finance:
Fundraiser Dine and Donate with BSB, Sarris and Dive Bar netted $850
NH Cheerleaders sending from Pink OUT—still not received
Regular expenses:
Rocco (legal counsel) - $4700 (we are paying $500/month)
Mike Cwalina ($335/month until full bill is paid)
Storage monthly bill,
Website fees for regular communications
Insurance
Lee Hennesey - $250/month (financial/tax support)
Carolyn -$550/month – grant writer
Update from Jennifer - $11,000 in the bank, $5000 has been accounted for to be spent on bills and approximately $3000 to be reimbursed to Katie for expenses she incurred over the past several months (board will receive details on what expenses were for)
Grants:
Prepared Women of SWPA with Katie and emailed May 1.
Preparing Staunton now due May 15
Cara provided list of longevity grants
Fundraising Process update:
Pittsburgh Marathon – raised $13,348, we will pay fee per runner that hit their fundraising goal and balance goes to 412Thrive paid every two weeks
Highmark Healthy Walk June 14th
Strawberry Jello Pretzel Salad (SPJS) – May 10 at Northway Mall
6/22 TaTa ParTEE (our largest fundraiser) – casual dress, wear your favorite t-shirt, bringing in various vendors and old fashioned games. Held at Vellum, Fermentation ALL money raised will go directly to 412Thrive. Tickets will be $55.00/adult and $22/child (1pm-5pm)
Kentucky Derby Fundraiser recap: Three pools filled - one with general public/thrivers, Iris Spero filled a pool with her friends and family, Bev filled a pool for competition with college friends. Made $750 plus Bev donated $75 she won back to 412Thrive for a total of $825.
MISC:
Blackbaud (CRM)—savings of $700+ a month after the end of the year (December is last payment)
Retreat: Camp Souls -$165 per person, last weekend in Sept. Fri-Sun
Bob Randolph (Dragon Boat Race) offered to help in any way we would like
Upcoming Thriver Events:
May 18 - South Hills - Spoonwood Brewery
June - North - picnic and kayaking Moraine State Park being planned by Corrie Nye
July - West - Highland Cow Farm
August - East - Burton Farm, Plum Borough - sunflowers and tiny goats
