Fundraisers

Looking for group fundraiser ideas? Whether you’re a sports team, school club, office, or even a group of friends who want to support local breast cancer Thrivers, here are a few ideas to get you started! No matter how much you raise, it is so appreciated and you’re making a positive impact on a Thriver’s life.

And you don’t have to wait till October to raise money. You can host one of these fundraisers any time of year! We’d love to help promote your event, host an educational session, or make an appearance at your event. Click here or the button below to complete our fundraising form.

    We’re teaming up with Sarris Candies to raise funds for Care Packages — and we need your help! 

     Order online between Sept 15th – Dec 14th

  • North Hills Soccer Kick it to Cancer Weekend

    North Hills Soccer Club is hosting its third annual Kick it to Cancer event October 4-5 at the Reis Run Soccer Complex.

    The two-day event will feature concessions, a basket raffle and 50/50, and pink-out sale with t-shirts, hair ribbons and pompoms.

    All age groups will play at Reis Run Oct. 4-5, including our U8 teams. Games on Sunday will be held all day and Saturday's schedule is as follows:

    • U5: 8:30 a.m.
    • U6: 9:30 a.m.
    • U8 Girls: 9 a.m. 
    • U8 Boys: 10:30 a.m.

Pink Out

Ask your school administration or boosters to host a pink out! It can be a basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, or any other game. The whole team can wear pink and you can donate admission and concession proceeds.

Penny Wars

The rules are simple.

  • Pennies are positive points.

  • Dollars are positive points.

  • Silver are negative points- these are placed in other classroom’s bins to deduct from their total.

  • At the end of the month, positive points are added ($1= 100, pennies= 1) and the sabotage coins are subtracted (quarters- 25, dimes- 10, nickels- 5).

  • The classroom with the highest remaining total wins the penny war!

Other Ideas:

  • Caps for Cash - Donate money to wear a hat that day.

  • Pajama Day - Donate money to wear pajamas or dress in a particular theme (ie. professional sports team apparel, casual day, etc.)

  • Cutest Pet Contest - Students or employees bring in a photo of their pet for a display on a wall or bulletin board. Place a jar in front of each pet, and let everyone vote with their change.

  • Flamingo “Flock” Your Office or Classroom - Employees or students donate money to “flock” another employee’s office or another classroom. You can use yard flamingos or other animals.

  • Dye Your Hair Pink - A principal, teacher, or boss offers to dye their hair pink or another color if enough money is raised.

  • Dress Your Mascot in Pink - Dress your mascot and send them into the stands to collect donations.

  • Cook for Your Cause or Host a Bake Sale - Spaghetti dinners, pancake nights, chili cook offs, and pastries are always winners.

  • Concession Stand or Snack Area Fundraiser - Donate proceeds of sales.

  • Car Wash - Set up a car wash outside your school.

  • Booster T-Shirt or Pink Sale - Sell custom pink t-shirts or other pink items.

  • Set out a Donation Jar

  • Trivia Night - Partner with a local bar or restaurant for a trivia night.

  • Happy Hour - Partner with a local bar or restaurant for a happy hour and they donate a portion of their sales. It could even be a specific drink or meal special.

  • Social Media Fundraiser - Use Facebook, Instagram, or another social media platform to host a fundraiser.

  • Collect Unused Gift Cards - Gather gift cards you are probably not going to use, but our Thrivers would love to receive in one of our care packages! We can also use them to purchase items for our care packages.
